FATAL ACCIDENT. On Friday, May 1st, George Ross, aged about 11 or 12 years, son of the late Samuel H. P. Ross, Esq., was thrown from the seat of a wagon, at the residence of the family, near Hopeton, and so severely hurt as to cause his death on Wednesday morning last. From the time of receiving the injury he lay in an insensible condition until Thursday afternoon when Dr. Lee of his place, assisted by the local physicians ter-panned the head a little above and to the rear of the temple, soon after which the little sufferer recovered consciousness. But the injuries were too great for the relief thus afforded to save him and death ensued in about 12 hours after the operation was performed.
