Atwater -- Stacey Stratton, a lifetime resident of Atwater, died Wednesday in a Merced hospital. She was 23.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1973 in Merced and enjoyed trips to Disneyland and listening to Dolly Parton. She was graduate of the Schelby School in Livingston and participated in the local Special Olympics at school.

She is survived by her mother, Susan Stratton of Atwater; a sister, Debra Stratton of Atwater; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Helen Mizer of Atwater; paternal grandparents; Floyd and Christine Stratton of Minden, La.; and great-grandmother; Alva Crabb of Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Chapel in Atwater. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Floyd Stratton, her grandfather, officiating. Burial will be in the Winton District Cemetery.
