Stevinson Boy Killed by Mower

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Newman at the Davis Funeral Chapel for Richard Knight, three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Knight of Riverbank, who died in Turlock hospital Saturday, where he was rushed after both feet were nearly severed by a mowing machine. The machine was driven by his grandfather who was cutting tall oats, and failed to see the child. Death was due to loss of blood.

He was visiting with his family at the home of his grandparents here, Mr. and Mrs. Garrie Cox. Besides his parents he leaves an older sister, Hazel and an 8 month old brother. Interment was at Newman cemetery, the Davis Chapel in charge.

The child was a grandson of the late Henry Knight, former Gustine resident.
