HAYES: In Merced, July 20, 1960. Chester Lee Hayes, husband of Elizabeth A. Hayes; father of Mrs. Doris E. Myers, Mrs. Barbara Ann Fleming, Raymond L. and Kenneth H. Hayes; brother of Mrs. Jessie Dunbar, Mrs. Pearl Masengale, Hugh Albert, Homer Ralph, and Herb Hayes. Sin grandchildren also survive.
 Friends are invited to attend the funeral services Friday, July 22, 1960 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mission Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn. Paul King of the Merced Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in the Merced District Cemetery.
Chester Lee Hayes
 Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ivers and Alcorn Mission Chapel for Chester Lee Hayes, 72, of 1150 Anderegg a retired electrician who died Wednesday in a local hospital.
 Paul King of Merced Church of Christ will officiate at the funeral and burial will be in Asphodel Cemetery.
 Mr. Hayes was born on Feb. 7, 1888 in Oakdale and lived in Merced for 50 years. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of American Legion Post No. 83.
 He leaves his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Hayes of Merced; daughters, Doris E. Meyers and Barbara Ann Fleming of Merced; sons, Raymond L, Hayes and Kenneth H. Hayes of Merced; sisters, Mrs. Jessie Dunbar and Mrs. Pearl Masengale of Merced; brothers, Hugh Hayes, Herb Hayes and Ralph Hayes of Oakdale and Albert Hayes and Homer Hayes of Merced; and six grandchildren.
