Rachel Horner

CHOWCHILLA -- Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Worden Funeral Chapel in Chowchilla for Rachel Horner, 79, a 25 year Chowchilla resident who died Saturday in a Fresno hospital.

The Rev. Ron Tilton of Trinity Holiness Church in Chowchilla will conduct services for Mrs. Horner. Burial will be in Chowchilla District Cemetery.

Born Aug. 16, 1910 in Pawhuska, Okla., Mrs. Horner was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Holiness Church in Chowchilla.

Mrs. Horner is survived by her husband, Elmer Horner of Chowchilla; six sons, Russell Horner of Scio, Ore., John Horner of Woodland, Carl Horner of Orangevale, Leo Horner of Merced, Cleo Horner of Lebanon, Ore., and Billy Horner of Bakersfield; her mother, Fannie Eldridge of Bisbee, Ariz., six sisters, Mindie Wadsworth, Annie Pierce, Nettie Goad and Callie Richards, all of Pawhuska, Okla., Frankie Shuck of Bisbee, Ariz., and Ruby Perkins of Chowchilla; 27 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
