Elmer Horner, 83
Longtime Chowchilla resident

CHOWCHILLA -- Elmer Joshua Horner, who lived in Chowchilla for 30 years, died Tuesday at Merced Community Medical Center. He was 83.

Mr. Horner was born in Pawshuska, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter and a son.

Survivors include five sons, Henry Horner of Woodland, Carl Horner of Orangeville, Leo Horner of Merced, Cleo Horner of Lebanon, Ore. and Billie Horner of Cleveland, Okla.; a sister, Gertie Wadsworth of Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Worden Funeral Chapel in Chowchilla.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. James Sabin of Cathedral Faith Church in Chowchilla presiding. Burial will be in Chowchilla District Cemetery.
