Ardith Arlene Godwin, wife of Boytte Godwin; mother of Mrs. Herbert Markley and Bennie Lee Briggs; sister of Mrs. Bernal Tilton, Mrs. Marjorie Craig, Mrs. Joseph Reis, Mrs. Alvie Morre, Mrs. Donald Decker, Mrs. Robert Speck, Gale, Levene and George Jones; step-mother of Mrs. Bill Phillips.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews and six grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services Friday, September 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Mission Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn. Rev. Jon Wiegert of the Central Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Interment in the Asphodel Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Mission Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn for Mrs. Ardith Arlene Godwin, 52, 70445 Healy Road, a resident of Merced for 35 years. She died in a local hospital on Wednesday.
She is survived by her husband, Boytte Godwin of Merced; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert Markley in West Virginia, one son, Bennie Lee Briggs, of Merced, six sisters, Mrs. Bernal Tilton of Hopeland, Mrs. Marjorie Craig in Nebraska, Mrs. Joseph Reis of Gustine, Mrs. Alvie Morre of Antioch, Mrs. Donald Decker of Livingston and Mrs. Robert Speck of Merced;
three brothers, Gale Jones of Watsonville, Levene Jones of Modesto, and George Jones of Gustine; a step-daughter, Mrs. Bill Phillips in England and six grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Asphodel Cemetery.
