Livingston - Rose Garcia, a retired drugstore clerk, died Sunday. She was 77.

Mrs. Garcia was born in Merced. she was a longtime employee of Livingston Drug Store. According to her family, she was known by many people in the community and was devoted to her family.

Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 1944 and son, Ben, in 1987.

Survivors include two sons, Sandy Garcia of Livingston and Robert Garcia of San Mateo; three daughters, Becky Snyder and Gen Attarian, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Celia Varain of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, John Gonzales of Winton, and Robert Gonzales of Merced; two sisters, Mary Cervantes of Atwater, and Eleanor Martinez of Merced; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Wilson Family Funeral Chapel in Atwater.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Atwater with the Rev. Rod Craig presiding.

Burial will be in Winton District Cemetery.
