 Fred Earl Fagundes, an Atwater resident, died Monday in Livingston. He was born Feb. 12, 1910 in Atwater. He worked as a farmer most of his life raising almonds and sweet potatoes and also drove a butane delivery truck for the city of Atwater. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
 Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Thelma Fagundes; two daughters. Marlene Goar of Merced and Maryellen Gorrell of Atwater; two brothers, Daniel Fagundes of Madera and Anthony Fagundes of Campbell; and one sister, Sharah Hendricks of Atwater.
 Visitation will be today from 2 to 7 p.m. at Ivers and Alcorn Redwood Chapel in Atwater. Services will be Friday at 11a.m. at United Methodist Church of Atwater.
 The Rev. John Motts will officiate. Interment will be in Turlock Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Atwater or to the charity of donor's choice.
