Obituaries

 

 Bernice Ellett

 

 Mrs. Bernice Brandon Ellett, 81, died Friday in a local hospital and will be cremated. She requested no services be held in the event of her death.

 

 Mrs. Ellett was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was born and raised in this area.

 

 Survivors include two sons, Richard Ellett and John K. Ellett of Merced; three brothers, Ray Flanagan of Red Top, A. Terrance Flanagan of Stockton and Tom Flanagan of Chowchilla; five sisters, Mrs. Sue Helen Gilbert of Aptos, Mrs. Frances Isabel Derringer of Layton, Mrs. Dorothy Julia Brungess of Fresno, Mrs. Gladyce I. Forden of San Luis Obispo and Mrs. Doris Churchill of Las Vegas, Nev., six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

 

 The family would appreciate memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, which may be left at the funeral home or the cancer office, 2829 G. St.

 

 Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
