Mrs. Jennie R. Ewing

Mrs. Jennie Robinson Ewing, 84, a resident of Merced since 1922, died in a local hospital Tuesday morning.

Funeral services will be held in the Central Presbyterian Church Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Hoffmesiter, officiating. Entombment will be in Evergreen Mausoleum.

Mrs. Ewing was born in Ashland, Ohio, March 16, 1880 and came here with her husband, George E. Ewing, 42 years ago.

Only last Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Ewing observed their 64th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at the hospital where she was a patient.

Besides her husband, who lives at 109 E. 21st St., she leaves three sons, Earl Ewing of Nipomo, Dwight S. Ewing and Ralph Ewing both of Merced. She also leaves six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ewing was a member of the Eastern Star. Arrangements are being handled by the Merced Funeral Chapel.
