Obituaries
Marie Olive Cotton

Mrs. Marie Olive Cotton, 82, widow of the late Dr. W. C. Cotton of Atwater, died in her home at 34 W. 22nd St., Monday.

Eastern Star funeral services will be held in Mission Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home Saturday at 9 a.m. and burial will be in Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Kessel of the First Methodist Church officiating at the graveside.

Mrs. Cotton, a native of Salem, Ohio, moved to Merced following the death of her husband in 1932.

She was a member of the Merced Art League, the Bible Society, Merced Chapter of the Red Cross, Mercedes Chapter O.E.S.

She leaves a son, William E. Cotton of Sacramento; a daughter, Mrs. Opal Neil in New York; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
