FIND THREE HUMAN
SKELETONS
Three human skeletons wee found Wednesday morning in an unused cellar under the
Star Hotel building on the corner of Sixteenth and K streets in this city. The
discovery was made by Joseph Soares, manager of the hotel, who had gone into the
cellar to locate a sewer connection. Although Coroner Kylberg and Police
Officers Dowst, who were notified of the find, are conducting an investigation,
it is believed the skeletons, the skulls of two of which are missing, may have
been used in research work by Dr. E. S. O’Brien, now a resident of San
Francisco, who occupied officers in the hotel building many years ago.
